There's something about the Northern Beaches that lends itself to this work. The ocean is always there. The pace is slightly slower. People notice their bodies.
Over the last few years, a real breathwork community has formed here — not in a trendy way, but in the way these things grow when they're meant to. This is a short locals guide.
Why the Northern Beaches
Most of the people we work with came to breathwork because something stopped working. The job, the relationship, the sleep, the patience. They tried therapy, yoga, supplements, ice baths. Breathwork landed because it's somatic — it bypasses the story and goes straight to the system holding it.
Living on the beaches helps. You're already in a body that walks, swims, breathes the ocean air. The work amplifies what's already there.
Suburbs we serve
We hold 1:1 and community sessions across the peninsula:
- Manly — local sessions, walking distance from the Corso
- Mona Vale — central, easy from Newport, Bayview, Warriewood
- Avalon Beach — for the northern end, Bilgola through Palm Beach
If you're elsewhere on the beaches (Freshwater, Dee Why, Collaroy, Narrabeen) — you're equally welcome. Distances are short.
What a session is like
You'll arrive, settle in, and have a short check-in. We'll guide you through a paced breathing pattern with music for 30–45 minutes. Sensations come and go — tingling, warmth, emotion, sometimes deep stillness. We close with rest, integration and a cup of tea.
You don't need experience. You don't need to be "spiritual." You need to be willing to lie down and breathe for an hour.
